Azima T. Khan MD, FAAP

Education and Training

Dr. Khan was raised and educated in Pakistan, and received her medical degree from Aga Khan University in Karachi in 1992.  She completed her internship and residency in pediatrics at Westchester County Medical Center, Valhalla, NY in 1997.  Dr. Khan became a Diplomat of the American Academy of Pediatrics in 1997.  


She was in initially in private practice in Jersey City, NJ from 1998-2001.  She relocated with her family to Venice, Florida and co-founded Sunshine Pediatric Care in 2003 with Dr. Mihm.  In addition to private practice she works with the Florida State College of Medicine/Sarasota regional campus in medical student education as an associate professor.   


Dr. Khan enjoys spending time with her husband and three children.  If you see her outside of the office she might be volunteering at her children's school or judging a speech and debate competition.
